May 21st is the 33rd National Day for Helping the Disabled. As a welfare power cable manufacturer for the Disabled, Jidong Putian Wire & Cable Co., Ltd. has always followed the business philosophy of “serving the society, giving back to the society, and being undertaker of social responsibility”, making the company the happiness place of every disabled employee could rely on.
At present, the company has 93 disabled employees, accounting for 20% of all employees. Every disabled employee enjoys the same benefits as normal employees, and enjoys the opportunity to be promoted to a cadre, fully protecting the legitimate rights and interests of disabled employees.
Over the years, the company has always kept the safety and security of disabled employees in mind, and regularly organizes donations and other activities for poor disabled employees every year to help them. Combined with the different personality characteristics of disabled employees, communicate with them separately, and help them establish the life values of “self-esteem, self-confidence, self-improvement, and self-reliance”. In terms of job assignment, the company always adheres to people-oriented, and arranges them in suitable jobs according to their own conditions and capabilities. In order to help disabled employees establish correct life values and reflect their own values, the company has conducted job skill training for disabled employees many times. Some disabled employees have become the backbone of the workshop through pre-job training and self-learning, and Some disabled employees have been promoted to department management cadres through competition.
In order to enrich the life of disabled employees, the company has invested reading rooms, table tennis rooms, chess and card rooms, and purchased entertainment and sports equipment, so that every disabled employee can enjoy the care and warmth of JDPT.
In recent years, JDPT’s charitable deeds of helping the disabled have been recognized and praised by the municipal party committee, the government and all walks of life. In May 2019, JDPT was rated as a “Caring Enterprise” by the Working Committee for the Disabled of the Hebei Provincial People’s Government. In December 2021, JDPT was rated as an “Employment Base for the Disabled” by the Tangshan Disabled Persons’ Federation, and rated as “Auxiliary Employment Agency for the Disabled” by Hebei Disabled Persons’ Federation.

Caring for and helping the disabled has always been an important symbol of the progress of civilization.
